My name is Artur Szklarz, but my friends call me Zamydlacz. I have two impossible daughters, a son, and an unbelievably understanding wife.
In my life, I’ve done all sorts of things. I worked in a wholesale warehouse, I was a teacher, a bartender, I worked at a Culture House, I was a journalist and the creator of an International Culture Festival. I led my own band made up of seven musicians and a sixteen-voice choir, and I’ve composed (and still compose) music both out of need and for those in need.
For eight years, I co-created the promotional department of one of the largest media companies in Poland, and… well… I sailed.

As a captain, I have sailed on all kinds of vessels — from 7.5 to 40 meters in length. From modern “plastic” yachts to old-time sailing ships. From small sloops to tall ships. I have worked on premium private yachts, both sailing and motor. I’ve “devoured” sea miles on the Baltic, the North Sea, the Mediterranean, the Atlantic Ocean, and the Caribbean.
Aside from the obvious skills — excellent seamanship, solid maritime practice, technical knowledge, and safety — I put great emphasis on creating a good atmosphere on board, sharing as much knowledge as possible with those eager to learn, and taking care of my clients not only when they’re on deck. All this makes many people want to sail with me again.
My motto:
To regret nothing, one would have to do nothing — but then life itself would be truly regrettable.

Comprehensive service for premium class yachts, mainly in the Mediterranean. Care for all aspects related to the functioning of a private yacht. From the employment of the crew and ongoing cooperation with them, through technicalities, documents, provisioning and finances, and ending with concierge services. Also working on board as a captain and manager. Conducting commercial cruises on modern yachts as well as on old, classic sailing ships. Moving yachts at the request of shipowners (including transoceanic).

January 2005 – December 2010
Work as a captain and skipper of yachts for various companies and individuals. Conducting cruises, preparing yachts for the season, securing after the season, overhauls and repairs. Single orders. Sailing yachts from 30 to 140 feet long (including an officer on Zawisza Czarny, a captain on the Gedania sailing ship). In addition, as captain of private motor yachts from 43 to 80 feet in length stationed in Greece, the Côte d'Azur and Monaco.
Cruises and works were carried out in the Mediterranean Sea - from Greece to Gibraltar, in the Atlantic - from the Canary Islands to the British Isles, in the North Sea - from the Norwegian fjords and Faroe Islands to Scotland and throughout the Baltic Sea.

Organization and conduct of internship and training cruises in the Baltic Sea. Comprehensive management of your own yacht and the preparation and implementation of cruises - from finding a customer, through the preparation of routes and cruise program to implementation.
